Six Flags Music sponsored the 2010 College Music Journal’s (CMJ) New York City music festival. The chosen illustrations were printed in the festival programs, featured in web banners and on Six Flags Music website. The ads needed some MTV edge to attract the college market, but family friendly to
maintain Six Flag’s broad appeal. Original artwork by Steve Wasterval coupled with park photography, bright primary colors and a textural collage gives the ad a concert-of-all-ages poster feel that was approprate for both the target audience and the distribution venue.
